Etiquette
When taking a group exercise class, we ask you to respect the following guidelines, as a courtesy to your instructor and fellow students, as well as for your own health and safety.
Proper Attire
- For your protection, proper shoes are required. We do not permit black-soled running shoes in the studios.
Prior to Class
- Please refrain from wearing cologne and perfume to classes
- Bring any liquids in unbreakable plastic bottles
- Set cell phones to "silent" or "vibrate" or refrain from bringing them to class
- We recommend the use of towels, which are readily available in the studios and Fitness Center
Class Arrival
- Arrive in enough time to set up your equipment and be prepared when class begins
- Refrain from entering the studio before the previous class has fully ended
- Plan to stay for the duration of your class. The warm-up and cool-down periods are important components of every class.
- Be considerate of other members' space. Avoid crowding in front of or behind a member who has arrived before you.
- You may not reserve places for other members or guests in the group exercise or cycle studio
- Please let your instructor know before class if you are pregnant or have any injuries
Late Arrival
- For your own safety and the safety of class participants, please do not come late to class. By missing the warm-up period, you may risk injury.
During and After Class
- Follow the instructor's directions and movements. This will help prevent injury and give you better results. Stop if a movement causes you discomfort. Your instructor can provide you with modifications throughout the class.
- Please be courteous and return weights and equipment to their proper storage locations. Put all equipment away neatly.
Children's Policy
- Children under 13 are not permitted in adult weekly group exercise or cycling classes
- Children ages 13 through 15 may take classes after obtaining approval from our Group Exercise director
- Children ages 16 and up may take group classes without adult accompaniment
