Get Connected

Courtside makes it easy to meet other players and take advantage of our resources:

Matchmaker Service

Allow us to make the introductions for you. All Club members with an NTRP rating may use Courtside's matchmaker service. If you do not have an NTRP rating, but would still like to be matched up, contact our tennis reservation desk for an appointment. Call (408) 395-7116 or e-mail tennis@courtsideclub.com.

Ball Machine

Courtside members enjoy complimentary use of the ball machine. Just pick up the keys when you check in for your court. You may reserve courts for use with the ball machine in 45-minute increments during non-prime-time hours:

Monday - Friday:

  • 7:30 am - 9:00 am
  • 11:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • 8:00 am - 9:00 pm

Saturday - Sunday:

  • Anytime after 2:00 pm

Note: These times are subject to change due to tournaments and special events.

Tennis Events

Courtside Club hosts and participates in many tennis functions throughout the year. In February, we sponsor the men's professional SAP Open and host its qualifying matches. Our annual Get Physical Against Breast Cancer Pro-Am brings the tennis community together to raise money and awareness for an important cause. We also host the Smash Wheelchair Tennis auction and fundraiser. Other tournaments at Courtside include: CCS Boys & Girls Championships and USTA NorCal seniors and juniors tournaments.

Tickets for premier tournaments are often available at the tennis reservation desk, including the SAP Open, Bank of the West and NCAA championships at Stanford, and the U.S. Open.

National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP)

NTRP is the official system for determining a player's competitive skill level. It helps all players enjoy the game more fully by facilitating more compatible matches, group lessons, USTA league play, tournaments and other Club programs.

NTRP is a self-rating system. And instead of the old system, which used the letters A, B, C and D, NTRP uses a number system that begins with 1 (for beginners) and increases in increments of 0.5 up to 8 (world-class level). For more information, visit the USTA NorCal Web site.
